This weekend Unwired Records hosted it's first, of hopefully many more, Singer/Songwriter Showcase. It was a two day event with various musicians from the area at the studio in a nice intimate setting. They also recorded each act at the event. We did this as a sit-down event with mics all around recording the guitar. I ended up talking a lot about the songs and what they were about... and making lots of jokes. It was a lot of fun and the crowd that came out were great.

This weeks Train Wreck had a small crowd and a few people show up to perform. Brett Landry and the Nightshifts came out and did a rocking set for everyone. Also a touring band came out that I won't name because they ditched out like assholes without a word. I don't understand all these touring acts that ask to play shows and then run away. Just another band on the shit list that will never get booked with anything I do again.

I played with my friends Chaos Blooms outside of Bad Granny's Bazaar in the Plaza Art District of OKC. It was a cold night, but we still had quite a few people walking buy and stopping to listen or dance from song to song. Pretty good time. My hands were numb and I couldn't feel where my fingertips were, but it all worked out. Chaos Blooms were great, my first time to see them.

Tonight we played the benefit for Leonard Hayes at Vik-Timz. This was the first show of the year for Fancy Bump and this was my first time to this bar, and I dug it. The owners Vicki and Tim were great. They raffled off a lot of cool prizes donated to help out Leonard. (I won a framed Wheaties Box with Jim Thorpe on it that is already hanging in my kitchen) A lot of cool bands played. Otis Watkins, The C-Note Band, Out Of Sane and Miley Virus. Also, some good BBQ and sides were served. Just a great show and a great time. Our set went great, better than any of our shows last year.

We jammed a little with him on drums and me on guitar before the rest of the band got there and then in-between sets he did some guitar with Matt on drums.
