 The Oklahoma State Fair. This was a cool gig that I would love to do again. In spite of some mix ups where we didnt get our passes mailed to us in time, our set being half of what the contract said and the cold weather this was still an awesome show. The sound guys were awesome. Even though I was getting over being sick and just getting my voice back I don't think I ever sounded so good. The only thing I could really wish for was warmer weather so my grandparents could have come out.

 This was our last gig with the Bang Bang Variety Show. Shortly after they left the Castle and are doing smaller scaled back shows at different clubs. This show was a little weird. I had been so sick that I didnt have a voice and couldn't sing. So the guys in the band came up and sang the songs. There were a couple where I kind of shouted along to help them through if they didnt know it all yet. They were put on the spot. Came out decent though.

 My computers been busted, so my setlists from August and September may be a little off. I've just gotten too far behind on posting. This was our first night at the Blue Note. I believe we did an opening soundcheck with 'Halloween' and Jacob was out sound guy. I also think it was a variation of the setlist from the 'Beards and Babes' show. I don't remember too many other details. Just that it sounded good and we had a lot of fun. Good club to play.

 Back to SoonerCon again. This was my first time to bring a band to the event. Unfortunately I didn't get to spend as much time there as I had hoped. There were a lot of cool things that I had to miss. Things ran behind on all of the festivities due to the NBA Finals and the hotel pushing things back, but it actually seemed to run smoother that I remember in years past. Good job to Aislinn. People went above and beyond in setting us up and making us feel comfortable. Before the show was actually set to start we dicked around on a few songs for the people there, some solo and some as the band. (Amazing Grace, Wolfshead, and more I can't remember) Even had Jackson Compton come up to do the first verse on a Violent Femmes song. (I didn't know the chords to the chorus... so I stopped it there. Thanks for being a good sport Jackson) Then we just rocked through what we could while time allowed.

 The Beards & Babes Car Wash at The Redneck Yacht Club. This was a pretty cool little event. A benefit raising money for victims of the recent Woodward tornado. The unfortunate part of this event is that it started raining heavily. It didn't stop us though. The girls still got out there and washed cars. We still had a grill and cooked burgers and dogs. It did make the head count a little low, but it didn't kill it. People still showed. There were also some sound issues that got us started 3 hours late on the music. No big deal. Although it pushed everything back everyone still got to play their full sets. Also had a beard competition. In the partial category Joe Valdez got first, Eddie second and myself third.

 My return to the Norman Music Festival this year was a little different. I came with my band The Prairie Fire instead of playing solo. Our alcove behind Michelangelo's had a stage and nice sound system set up in it this time, which was cool. It also had lots of chairs, a beer stand and tents. Unfortunately it just didn't have the same feel as before. Also, this was the first show with the Prairie Fire's new guitarist Alan Wood. A lot of great bands played all around the festival. I got to see most of my favorites of my youth. Also had to deal with some awkward moments of seeing people I want absolutely nothing to do with. Too bad they can't get the hint. Still a good time over-all.

The first video shoot for The DAMAGED Hearing Sessions. John Kaiser and Waylon Warbuckss Clark of FreakSho Ent. chose the song "M" to direct. The Hidden Castle graciously allowed us to film on one of their off days and even hooked everyone up with their first beer free. We had an open invite for people to show up and be in it. Things went smoothly and we had some fun.

 My first gig of 2012. We played Friday the 13th down on Campus Corner in Norman. It wasn't as packed as I would have liked, but the one's who made it did enjoy. We started off doing a special acoustic set with Eddie, Joe and myself all three on acoustic guitars. Then, my friends the Local Martyrs played a set. After that we came back up to do what we do. First time we used an electric guitar. Might do it again. Good times.
