Setlist: Christophe Murdock - 4-20-2017 Your Mom's Place, Oklahoma City, OK

Another great week for the Train Wreck Variety Show. This time we had Pauly Creep-O come out and jam with Paxton and Tashi, Amber Thille came and read poetry and a guy named Lonnie came and did some of his tunes. I ended up doing two small sets. TWVS is off for the 27th, but returns May 4th with special guest act Dave McDaniel!

Played a party at Amber's apt. Her last party of the summer. Got to see some old friends and some new ones. We ended up staying until five in the morning talking and drinking. Since it was a party I didn't keep track of my setlist, but I'll list the songs I know I played... the order is most likely not correct.

Setlist: Christophe - 04-08-2011 The Downtown Sound, Norman, OK

This being a party at the Downtown Sound, I hit the bottle early again. I showed up early cos I had nowhere else to be and just jammed for a couple hours before the show and into everyone arriving. Playing all kinds of material. Watched a lot of my friends play stuff I really dig. The Father Phil, Ryan Lawson and one of my all time favorite poets Robert Spencer. After the show we ended up at The Opolis down the street cos Jabee was throwin' a wild hip-hop show. No one was keeping track of what I played, so my setlist is pieced together the best I could remember.

Setlist: SmacOne/Christophe - 04-06-2011 Universe City Open Mic at The Deli, Norman, OK

This month at The Universe City Open Mic at the Deli, we got Amber Thille, SmacOne and myself all signed up for different sets, but back to back as to not waste time setting up breaking down. Turns out there were so many people signed up and out of state acts passing through that we ended up cutting it all short anyway. Did get a pretty lady to buy me some Jim Beam, so I obviously had a good time.

Setlist: Christophe - 03-31-2011 Michelangelo's, Norman, OK

I hit up my usual Thursday night rounds last night. Started off at Michelangelo's for Jack's open mic. Amber Thille was there to do some poetry. Jack & Phylis did an awesome set. My guitar is shorting out so I only did a few songs this time. I'm going to have to take it to the shop soon I guess...

Second place I hit up was Othello's. Was feeling a little better by then. Special thanks to Austin and Justin Bloss for re-introducing me to my friend Jim. Also, special thanks to The Riff Wreath for getting me hooked up with a spot before I left the other club so I didn't have to close the night off again.

Setlist: Christophe - 03-19-2011 The Fire, Amber's House, Norman, OK

Saturday I hit up the wrapping for the music video shoot I was part of and then went to play Amber Thille's weekly fire-pit party. It was a little awkward with city being under a burn-ban. We all sat around a hole in the ground filled with ashes that we were not allowed to light up. I had originally planned on staying and playing a lot longer, but it seems one of the only two people on the planet I have yet to learn how to forgive and forget was invited. I tried to stick around... guzzling my beers as fast as I could in hope of being happy-drunk-love-everyone-no-matter-what Christophe... instead I just yelled the lyrics to everything. He showed up and my girl left because of the bad blood between them, I played one final song and split too. Not at all like I was hoping things would turn out...

Setlist: Christophe & Joe D. - 03-11-2011 Michelangelo's, Norman, OK

Second show of the evening was at Michelangelo's. They had a lot going on, that I unfortunately missed because of playing the first show. I truly wish I could be multiple places at once. My friend Amber M. Thille, a local poet, read and was signing her new book and there was another girl I never caught the name of that was playing an acoustic set. That was all over when I arrived. Joe and I played, SmacOne showed as well. We did about five songs before I got fed up and quit using the sound system. No one could hear a thing, so I unplugged everything and just yelled out the lyrics the best I could.
