 Last night at Sips I had The Som open. Jimmy plays in a few local bands, but has a real cool solo project going. Doc Johnson, my mandolin player in the Prairie Fire, showed up unexpectedly so we got an extra treat. Before the show I had stopped by my mother's and was looking through 'The Burl Ive's Songbook' and found a song I sometimes play called "Wayfaring Stranger". There was an entire third verse I never knew existed. So I played that with the third verse for the first time.

 The crowd wasn't as large this time at Sips, I think partly because we all just played the Hootenanny the weekend before, but it was still a blast. There was one girl from the Hootenanny that came, seems like everyone else in the crowd were the ones that missed it. Willie McWade came out and did a couple songs. Danny Trashville played a set the I played with Doc Johnson, the newest member of the Prairie Fire, backing my up with a mandolin. We had some "jail water", the best sandwiches in town and made some decent tips. It was a good night.

 Had a blast at Sips. Nathan Richards opened up. Rocked the joint. Willie McWade made a special guest appearance. It's been about a year since I've seen him perform. He's doing good. A lot of family and friends showed up. The crew from Sips were awesome and treated us great. Can't wait to do it again.
