Setlist: Christophe Murdock - 8-26-2017 AdaFest, Hot Shots Coffee House, Ada, OK

 Did a set at AdaFest. A small little festival in Ada Oklahoma, that is on it's way to becoming something much larger and cool. This is the first year they had more than one stage and more than a small handful of bands. They are stretching out and becoming something more along the lines of NMF with bands all up and down the main drag. I popped in for an afternoon set in front of Hot Shots Coffee House. (BTW, the owner is cool as hell and I recommend stopping in if in the area) A little too much sun for my taste, but still had a good time. There were a few minor hiccups, but from what I could tell the entire festival went great. They are on their way to becoming something special.

Setlist: Christophe Murdock - 8-19-2017 Norman Porch Fest, Norman, OK

 Norman Porch Fest's second year and my first with them. I was looking forward to playing it, as it sounded like a lot of fun... but it ended up not being what I thought. The hosts, Diane and Joe, were awesome. Other things didn't go so well. The people with the PA showed up ten minutes after I was supposed to start playing. Pretty much ignored me when I spoke to them. The guy left right away leaving the girl behind who just fiddled with some mic stands and never even plugged in the PA, then bailed without saying anything. So, fifteen minutes before my set was scheduled to end I ended up playing with no PA, while all the surrounding porches had them and could be heard from the yard I was in, and I had to just yell all the songs. Friends of mine were playing after me, so I was able to play more than ten minutes of songs at least. I doubt I'll be doing anything for Norman Porch Fest or McMichael Music again. As much as festivals and the ones who run them end up pissing me off you think I would learn to stop donating my time to them.

 This was part of the "Pop Meets Punk Tour" with Down They Fall and ALBVS. We had a blast. All the bands were great. Garret and I opened and closed the night. Full set to begin with, then Pop Stars ALBVS came on and made all our panties wet. Down They Fall killed it on the Uke again. Happy Tuesday gloomed it up and then we got back on for a short encore set. Good turn-out for a Thursday night. Hope to play with all these acts again.

 By request, Isaiah and I got back together to do our Prairie Fire Duo bit. We had some fun. Dedicated a spiritual to Jim (The Other Prairie Fire Drummer) who recently passed away due to cancer. Got to watch some amazing groups, The JuJu Beans and The Patrick Newkirk Combo (-1 member, so it was a duo), and ended the night off with Star Swamp Media filming us for their flick in the 48 Hour Film Fest. Plus I filled up every slot on the high score list for Galaga, so it was a good night.
