 This was part of the "Pop Meets Punk Tour" with Down They Fall and ALBVS. We had a blast. All the bands were great. Garret and I opened and closed the night. Full set to begin with, then Pop Stars ALBVS came on and made all our panties wet. Down They Fall killed it on the Uke again. Happy Tuesday gloomed it up and then we got back on for a short encore set. Good turn-out for a Thursday night. Hope to play with all these acts again.

 This week's TWVS had a low attendance what with people being scared of storms. Power flicked off and on, so I kept the sound system off and just played acoustic at the bar. When it was just the bartender, RahRah and me I dicked around with some covers I haven't played in a while. Later in the evening we had some people show up because the concert they were at got canceled. So I played a few songs for them and talked a while about life and music. I only kept track of the originals I played for them.

 This was my second set for the Norman Music Festival. My first official club set, but off the radar of the official NMF. It went like shit. I was pretty well too drunk, angry and sad to care much about anything. There was no one there to run the sound. My guitar had distortion on it. Acoustic guitar with distortion. Terrible. The promoter was nowhere around. The guy they gave me to play bass seemed about as fucked up as me and was having the most terrible time following. I turned to face him more, said something about it and he walked off a few minutes later. I wasn't too fucked up to know what I was doing though. So, I know it wasn't me. I was playing the right chords. I didn't sound too great under all the circumstances though. Wished it would have been different.

 Norman Music Fest happened over the past weekend. I did one unofficial set and two official. This, the unofficial, was the first one. I honestly did not keep track of what I played. I had some news that morning that devastated me... so I just drank and played guitar. A lot. I was stationed at The Hidden Cape Foundation booth. I played random songs throughout the day and did a couple interviews and let them video me doing songs. I believe 'Road Rash' was the one video taped. Also jammed with a few other musicians. I remember doing some Cocaine Blues with Caleb McGee. There was a guitarist I didn't write down his name I traded songs with. I'm not going to put an order on my song list.  Still part of the Art Walk, after the Merrybelle's show I headed over to Michelangelo's to do a late set. Isaiah Harrell joined me on drums for this set. It was awesome. Look for him with me a lot more in the future. Had a few friends show up, did a mild version of my rowdier set. People were having fun, so we did double the amount of song we planned on.
