 Shit... I don't even know where to begin when talking about this house party. I won't even bother... I'll talk about the bands though. We opened up as SSKK, Fresh Logic was second and Orange Sherbert closed off the night. Fresh Logic have some good flow... Orange Sherbert are... gay-rape rap? The lyrics are hilarious, and that they all look like 12 year old boys adds to the humor. I have an early demo, but it doesn't compare to these guys live. They were actually really good!  The 104.9 Band Beatdown was a weird thing. It being a radio promotion I really expected more. I expected more promotion and ticket sales from the radio themselves, and I expected a higher quality of bands. Most of the groups performing played discs that were vocals included and either rapped along to themselves or straight-up lip-synced. I was bored to tears. I played two sets. I rapped in the SouthSide KrazyKidz and I played guitar for SmacOne.

 This was a fun show. My first show to rap live. SmacOne and I drove to Little Rock, Arkansas. Pulled into All American Wings just in time to see the Thunder win the game. It's a cool little club. Bad-ass wings, a small stage set-up for live music and a basketball hoop in the back. Wednesday was an Open Mic with us as the featured act to do a full set. It was more of a hip-hop orientated community, but there was a couple that wanted to hear my country music. So I signed up on the Open Mic and did a couple songs. The guitar was coming through distorted through the mixer, which was unfortunate. There were a lot of strong poets there. Really dug that scene.

 Portneuf Valley Brewing has an amazing thing going on here. The locals meet together and have a song circle. Each playing a song as their turn comes around. We jammed for at least 3 hours. Altogether there was about ten of us. Guys on acoustic guitar mostly, but also a bassist, mandolin player, and a guy with a ukulele. We did originals and covers. Everything under the sun, Social D., Elvis, that song from Donnie Darko, The Beatles, Charlie Brown and the list goes on. I can't remember what all we played, so I'll just list the ones that I headed up and the two others that I got on video.


Note: I wasn't manning the camera, it was just sitting on the table. So the shots are lousy, but the sound is awesome. You definitely want to give these videos a listen.
