The 3rd Annual Ragsdale Hootenanny has increased considerably over the years and moved from Rags place to the Steel Horse Saloon over in Seminole. This time it's up to three days, still has the camping out and had both inside and outside stages. I played on the second day.We got a late start because of the rain and everything took place inside, but it went well. We all came together for a good cause raising money for Cancer Sucks.

Second show at the State Fair this year, this time with full band. Still had difficulty with the staff and the police both about getting in for loading and unloading as well as parking. Sound wasn't as good as last year, but we had a blast playing. Plenty of people in the crowd and it was at night this time so I didn't have the sun in my face. Can't wait for next year.

This show was a blast. Shantel Leitner, an amazing musician I shared a stage with at The Gentlemen Of The Road Tour, was passing through town again and we set up a gig at McNellie's. This was my first show here and didn't know quite what to expect. It was a ghost town before the show started, but quickly filled up about the time things kicked off. Shantel brought an awesome fiddle player with her named Jordan Herrera, who is currently on tour with his band The Young Readers. He played in both our acts. Nailed everything. A total pro.

Live Music On The Canal was really cool this year from what little I got to see. I was on the "Green" stage by the canal. There were boats full of people that would stop listen to a couple songs and move on. Sound was great. Just had a good time.

This was an early gig. Started at 10 am. The fair employees gave everyone a difficult time. Isaiah had to carry his drums piece by piece from the parking lot because they wouldn't let him come in to unload. It was a real headache. The performance was great though. Being the openers of the day there were not a whole lot of people sitting and watching, but there were a lot of large groups that came by and stopped for a song before moving on.

After getting back to Oklahoma I got with the band to play the Guthrie Arts Festival's Mumford and Sons Weekend. This thing was huge. There was traffic backed up for a couple miles from downtown up to the highway. I got to see a couple very cool acts before bailing out. Shantel Leitner played right before us and The Mulligan Brothers right after. We sound checked with "Astro Zombies" and I used my guitar amp for the first time with the acoustic, giving a nice reverb effect to it. The only downfall about this show was the heat. No one was expecting it to be that hot and we didn't have a tent for the stage. I went on at 4pm and the heat was unbearable. I thought I was going to pass out... and I've played some hot shows before, but none like this. Luckily Eddie and Alan handled a lot of the vocal duty and we ended up cutting the set short.

Our show at the Lion's Lair was a lot of fun. Definitely my kind of bar. They kept filling us up with alcohol though and I don't even remember the second set. I remember a little of it. I also jammed with Jaxon Crow on a song, but not sure what it was. We did have a blast though and can't wait to come back. After the show we had to leave fairly quick to get back to Oklahoma. Wished we could have hung around.

Before our show at the Lion's Lair my friend took us to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. This place is amazing. A natural amphitheater made up of the canyon. This is where U2 filmed "Sunday Bloody Sunday". The place reverberates sound so well that you could hear us all the way at the top playing unplugged down at the back of the stage. We made sure to do a few songs for everyone there.
