 Last night was the official opening of The Red Brick Bar. We had quite a party. Jenny Bodine showed up to kick the night off. Then we had Canon Simmons, Dave McDaniel, Myself, Two Headed Dawg, Leather Dutchess, Kinda Creepy & Psychotic Reaction. I ended up on the mic a couple times through the night helping L.D. with "Halloween" and K.C. with "Ameoba". Great night filled with great music.

 This was a fairly emotional show. The tribute to Joe D. I used the line-up that had played with Joe for both Prairie Fire and Pallbearers. We didn't use any lead instruments because it didn't feel right having someone else play it when it was supposed to be about Joe. We told stories about Joe in between songs and tried to pay tribute to him as best as we could.

 This was the funeral for one of my best friends. Joe D. I've had Joe in my life longer than just about anybody. There was a nice service at the Lynlee Mae Chapel in Moore. His guitar was next to the casket. A "KISS Hell" bouquet and a playlist that included KISS, The Ramones, Alice Cooper, Wednesday 13 and more. After that we headed to Chapel Hill for the burial where we all passed around a guitar and sang some songs for Joe. Shawn Mccarthy sang a couple, Billy Whinery as well, then I sang the song Brad and I wrote for him.

 Last night was a last minute tribute jam to our fallen brother Joe D. put on by 10Burn4. It was a free show collecting donations for the funeral. Around $900 was made. I ended up getting with Brad, the original drummer for Social Parasite, and writing a song as a tribute for Joe over e-mail on Friday, then picking him up on Saturday and running over it. SmacOne and Frost of the SSKK crew showed up as well. We did a small, rough set. This was all people I haven't played with in a year or two. It went over well enough I think. Best part of the night was quoting Joe, "We are Social Parasite and we will see you in hell!!!"

 This was an odd show for us. I found out literally minutes before I left for the gig that my long-time friend and lead guitarist Joe D. had passed away. I got up to the club and found out that Isaiah's car engine locked up while he was on the way and he couldn't make it. Jim wasn't available to fill in, so we improvised. Noah from The Fabulous Minx (Whom we had literally just met) filled in for the majority of the set. Jimmy from The Returners sat in on a couple. It was different, but wasn't bad. With Noah we were a touch slower than usual but on point on the most of it. With Jimmy we played faster than we've ever played before. I haven't played anything that fast since I was working with Blizzard on the drums. I dedicated the set to Joe.
