 The Ostara Ball was plagued by some problems from the beginning. Too many people to go through, not getting things done in time. It's a shame. The cat's that put this on are good people with their hearts in the right place. So this ended up being a very low turn-out. We tried to make the best of it and had fun anyway. More sound system problems, this time with our own. After we did the Celtic Frost cover I ended up bagging the use of it and just singing without for the remainder of the show.

 I drove up to Chickasha for The After'Gonzo'Noon Music and Arts Festival held on the local college campus. Got to see some old friends, so that was cool. Suzanne from back in the Mockingbird Lane days was there. Be warned... if going to Chickasha, grab your Jim Beam Black before getting there... I was only able to get a hold of two little shot bottles... The fest was cool. It was a windy cold day. One of the students brought a blanket out for my girl so she wouldn't freeze. Bands came and rocked it up in spite of it all. A couple cool arts kids came out. Bridgette Bullock has some nice work. Had to trade me a record for one of her photos. I wished I coulda stayed for the whole show...

 My 25th show so far this year... I'm gonna start numbering them so it's easier to keep track. Club Raw again, like we do every Tuesday. Instead of the regular open mic it was a show. Headliner's T-Rush and King Siik, whom I met at the commercial shoot for The Loop Magazine. A lot more people than usual showed up, so us being the gracious fellows that we are, backed off our set so everyone could get a shot. It's cool, we were there last week... the week before... and the week before... and most likely next week as well.

 Saturday I hit up the wrapping for the music video shoot I was part of and then went to play Amber Thille's weekly fire-pit party. It was a little awkward with city being under a burn-ban. We all sat around a hole in the ground filled with ashes that we were not allowed to light up. I had originally planned on staying and playing a lot longer, but it seems one of the only two people on the planet I have yet to learn how to forgive and forget was invited. I tried to stick around... guzzling my beers as fast as I could in hope of being happy-drunk-love-everyone-no-matter-what Christophe... instead I just yelled the lyrics to everything. He showed up and my girl left because of the bad blood between them, I played one final song and split too. Not at all like I was hoping things would turn out...

 Friday morning I spent some time on a video shoot for L. Eazy and Big Grump, played a show at Hastings and hit up the Purple Hayes party in OKC. So look for some pictures from those to be posted soon. The Hasting's gig was a little off. The good part was I got to jam with my friend The Father Phil, as for the rest... When they asked me to play, they said my CD"s and Records they sell would be put on display, but the weren't. The guy who booked me was nowhere around. The girl in the coffee shop seemed to have no clue I was to be playing... and the crowd... they just sat there quietly with their noses in books. If I ever do a Hasting's performance again I'll have to go at it from a different angle. Oh well, live and learn...

Towards the end of the night Rebecca came out cos she was having a shitty b-day dealing with a flaky boyfriend... so I skipped out of Othello's to buy her a beer and try and cheer her up. Last week they loved us... this week we got up there, plugged in the guitar, sound-checked with a country riff and the place cleared out... but not before Smac left them with some choice words on their way out the door. All that was left was Smac and me, the DJ and Beth.We did just three songs, but midway through the second song we got some passer's by pulled in. Also, the club added a stripper pole to the stage... Definitely going to have to get some girls to make use of that for a show in the future...

My friend Amber M. Thille, a local poet, read and was signing her new book and there was another girl I never caught the name of that was playing an acoustic set. That was all over when I arrived. Joe and I played, SmacOne showed as well. We did about five songs before I got fed up and quit using the sound system. No one could hear a thing, so I unplugged everything and just yelled out the lyrics the best I could.

 My first show for the evening was the grand opening of the Downtown Sound. A new practice space/art house kind of thing. Acoustic music, poetry readings, art show and the NMF Wine Tasting. It was a busy night. My friends Father Phil and Katie Khaos both played before me, then I had to leave after I played for my second show. So I unfortunately missed out on the poets. Huge crowd for such a small room. It was great. Started off I didn't know what the hell was going on with this bright light right in my face... once I got someone to move it, things changed for the better and I did a pretty fun set. Thanks to SmacOne for jamming with me and new friend Caleb for joining me as well!

It changed since I had called them, now it's no longer strictly songwriters and original music and it starts later than it used too. It's put on by Jerry Roskin, who puts on another one at a different club earlier in the week as well. I went on early to hit up the dinner crowd.  Fifth show of the tour was at a little bar in Denver called Bushwackers. Great place with a great feel. Have their own beer on tap. We had 5 bands on the line-up that night. Levi Allen Sinner giving us some hillbilly stomp, The Bricks with their classic bar-punk sound, The Matt Spinks Band giving us some great blues and Leashed Dragon with an odd kind of punk blues mix. All very awesome bands. I'll post vids of each of them below the setlist.

Setlist: Christophe - 02-24-2011 DAMAGED Hearing At KRFC Radio Station, Fort Collins, CO

 On the fourth day of my tour I went to Fort Collins, CO. Originally, before I hit the radio, I was set to play at a blues jam. I met up with Louis Fowler there, but it was not "roots" blues at all. Very awkward elevator music is what it sounded like. So Louis and I decided to split to the radio station earlier than planned. Since we had the extra time, we not only recorded the interview and live songs for the show but we also recorded about 25 songs to be used for my next two albums. So a special thanks to Louis!!!
