 Man, Easter was a hell of a good time. I wish I could have spent the whole day. Apparently some older cats were there jamming earlier in the day. After I got off work I showed up in time to get some good eats and meet up with Coop, who has played Banjo with me a show or two, and Megan who plays a mean mandolin. After getting some grub on we just stood around a jammed for everyone there. Can't wait to do another.

 This was a fun show. My first show to rap live. SmacOne and I drove to Little Rock, Arkansas. Pulled into All American Wings just in time to see the Thunder win the game. It's a cool little club. Bad-ass wings, a small stage set-up for live music and a basketball hoop in the back. Wednesday was an Open Mic with us as the featured act to do a full set. It was more of a hip-hop orientated community, but there was a couple that wanted to hear my country music. So I signed up on the Open Mic and did a couple songs. The guitar was coming through distorted through the mixer, which was unfortunate. There were a lot of strong poets there. Really dug that scene.

After the show we ended up at The Opolis down the street cos Jabee was throwin' a wild hip-hop show.   In Noble, Oklahoma there is a cool little bar called The Hilltop Hideaway that I go to on occasion, usually to meet up with my friend Skinny Jimmy, who some have seen play bass for me a show or two. Jimmy told me they are starting up a new Open Mic hosted by The Billy Hartless Band every other Wednesday. So I stopped in to see what it was about. The Billy Hartless Band are the headliners, and worth coming out to see. It's laid back, as people come in they'll get you on stage. No sign up neccesary. We did a short set together before I had to head out to the U.C. show in Norman. This being our first time to meet face to face and for them to hear my music I went ahead and faced them. A little awkward for the audience side I'm sure, but it sounded pretty damn good from where I was at. They caught on to my stuff real well. Can't wait to jam with these guys again, and hopefully get some video.

  Another setback I've had this week is my camera finally crapped out on me. Hopefully I'll have a new one in a few days... but until then I'm relying on what pictures sopmeone else took and when I can get them. I believe my friend DJ Jesse Cole does have photos and a video of me performing from this show. I will edit and add to later. Jesse, his girl Brit and me were judges for the National Kareoke Competition. Watching people try out all kinds of songs and judging them on their singing capabilities, audience interaction and stage presence. After the gig we all did some kareoke ourselves, and I performed one of my songs too.

 I don't know why I always do it... you think after the Midwest Ink & Metal Fest I would learn that drinking and a long day in the sun don't mix well for me. I arrived at the Muscle Car Ranch a little after noon. I spent the first half of the afternoon on a rock bullshitting and drinking beers with Charlie, the keyboardist from Debris. Then SmacOne showed up and we threw some Jim Beam Black in the mix. Had a blast, got sunburnt to hell, watched Jimmy launch his drum kit 30 feet through the air off the stage and played a drunken set to whoever was willing to listen. Then apparently hit up an art show were I stumbled around for an hour, got high at someones house and took a nap, came back to the show in time to see Psychotic Reaction rip it up for a night time set. They tore up the stage. It was a great way to end the night.
